I always remember something my favorite therapist said to me once too, on the precipice of a decision. "This next decision is not your last." If you get there, and it's not what you want or need, you just make another decision. It's not the end of the road (until, of course, it is) :)
What a great perspective. So true. I’m so glad I discovered your writing this morning! I’m so pleased I commented on Tommy’s essay and you liked mine. Isn’t that what Substack is about? Discovering and connecting with treasured writers. And thank you for taking a look at mine. :)
So good Mikaela.
How do you know if you’ve chosen the right door - made the right choice? Because it’s the one you chose.

For sure. Honestly, the way you have engaged, you are why Substack is great. :)
And I am programmed to choose the road less traveled. And it has made all the difference 💙. Love this!
Keep up the good work :-) Glad to see you have chosen to open this door
Thanks Amir. Were you also glad to see I could use generative AI? See, I don't need you for my future moonshots... :)
yeah you don't need me if you don't want to win :-)
